Congrats

It is one that I wish I would have kept in the stable....

Killer amp

Your collection is outstanding! jeez

Tell me about it! If I had a MIDI switcher I'd be hooking for a trade-up with that Blueface VH4!

If ever you send the amp back to Rick, make sure you load it with JJ E34L, that's what he like in there

V30s might sound harsh with the amp
Go with Heritage Greenbacks (or EVH, they're the same) or Heritage G12H(55)
A 2x12 with G12M-65 Creambacks might work too
Also thinking the Heritage G12-65 would sound good, as it's a smooth speaker and has a long history with Marshall-voiced amps

mississippimetal is an awesome amp and guitar tech. if you are in san fran bay area, check him out!! great work!!

It's not that harsh with the V30's, only the rhythm channel, which as I understand it was bright in early revisions of the MC no matter what speaker you used. I use a ToneZone pickup which kinda balances out the highs.

E34L's are cool. I prefer Ruby STR's.

I'm not a fan of EL34's myself, but Rick likes them
There's a longer story concerning this, I won't get into it, PM if you want details

I don't think I'll be sending it in. The lead channel is just a perfect Rock N Roll machine. No mods needed.

I have two MTL's, run'em through two Wizard 4X12's one has Anniversary 30's and Heritage 65's, the other has Alnico Golds and G12H30's. Wizard cabs rule, as much as I love the heads, the cabs are the absolute best.

yep, the cabs ( and the amps) are some of the finest! congrats on the head purchase! LOUD! careful...

I like my Wizard MCII thru a 4x12 with v30s on the bottom and the EVH greenbacks on top.

He sold that MC.
Great combo for creamy mids. Good lows also. If you want a little top end hair try through a quad of Heritage 75.

congrats

would also try different speakers, as others have said, reckon greenbacks would sound awesome , and be less harsh in the hi end
