First guitar - Ibanez RG blah blah blah. First amp - Goriila!! Now my second guitar, that's a different story. I bought a Charvel model 3 or 4 in '88 from Atlanta Discount Music and the sales rep was Peter Stroud (plays with Sheryl Crow). They wanted $300 or or so and I had like $240. He wouldn't go for it so I borrowed $20 from my buddy and pleaded my case...Peter hands me the guitar and says in a completely disgusted tone "get outta here". He yells "260" to the guy at the register and the rest is history

solid state fender 2x12 with built in reverb.

schecter non-floating bought off of musiciansfriend

i blew the 2x12, so i went to a 5150 and two cabinets. been playing that ever since

A used p.o.s. sunburst Harmony strat-copy and a used p.o.s. little solid-state Crate practice amp.....cheap, typical beginner crap.

First guitar was an Arbor Flying v. I bought the guitar in August of 84. I still have the guitar, but it is not playable. My first amp is a Marshall Lead 12. I bought that in December of 84 at Guitar Center in Hollywood. I still have the amp and I still play it. I tried to post a pic, but I do not know how.

1st guitar was a white "strat"-ish guitar from the Sears catalog, which kinda looked like a G&L Rampage.
1st amp was also from the Sears catalog, and was a tiny bass combo... it didn't last long, next was Marshall Lead 12 combo... which I kinda wish I still had.

A stage 65 combo amp that looked more like a bathroom heater than an amp, and for guitars I recall it was an ames/murphy's mart strat copy--no name on the headstock, no five way- just buttons..L.O.L...

It was actually a hand made Spanish nylon guitar... Which I have lost somehow. Shame.

But then came a Stagg practice amp, Strat copy, and a BOSS XTortion I think it was called.

Ibanez RG Gio into a Danelectro black licorice (death metal) distortion into a kramer 15 watt bass amp haha..so naive.

Parents got me a Peavey Reactor (tele copy) and a Peavey Rage 158 amp. I still have the guitar in pieces. I wanna bring it back to original, because i tried to make it look " cool ", just to hand it on the wall. I blew up the amp trying to play Metallica tunes over and over again, maxing out each knob so I could hear it over the drummer  . After I blew it up my parents agreed to buy me a Peavey Supreme Head and Shettfield 4x12 just as long as paid them back.

My first was a Peavey T-60 and a Peavey Studio Pro 40. I traded a bunch of baseball cards and some lawn mowing for it when I was 12. I think the guy that got the baseball cards probably came out ahead on that deal, with regards to time.

First amp back in '79 was a Fender Champ and Cortez Les Paul.

1st guitar was a beat-to-shit acoustic I found in our basement. Metal string, nothing fancy, machineheads were rusted tight. Never got along that well with that one.

First electric, El Degas "Destroyer" in blue
First amp, Traynor TS-15 (2 x 8" drivers I think   ) transistor based 15W amp

Date of this?? Early 80's, my guess...

V.

The first guitar and amp that I saved for and purchased was a '99 sunburst mexi strat (that I still have, maintain, modified, and play to this day.) and a Fender Deluxe 90 SS 1x12 amp. And actually from what I remember, that SS clean tone was not bad with that strat!

1976 Orange OR120
modded standby switch

Some guy made it a rack mount head by drilling holes in the faceplate and taking it out of it's orange case. I got it dirt cheap.

I miss that damn thing!
