Friedman is making a Jake E Lee amp...man...wonder what era tones it'll do?
It’s two channel. One being Plexi like the other similar to Jakes Ozzy years.
Sounds cool. One thing about Jake's tone, it always seemed to be a really basic simple boosted Marshall, not over the top but right where it needs to be.
Ozzy years was JCM 800 with a kasha preamp. He never used a plexi in a band format until Badlands
Maybe he recorded with a Plexi? When I saw them at Riverfest in St Paul in 89 he used 2 JCM 800 full stacks. The Kasha stuff, didn't come out till 88/89? I always thought he used a Boss OD1 with Ozzy, into his 800s.

Thats correct. this amp has a plexi channel and a dirty channel the does the boosted 800 thing or more of a highly idealized 800 tone.. it has a gain structure switch on that channel. so really you can do any of his tones from over the years..

Dave, I remember you saying we are going to get a tease for the 40 watter soon. When should we look for that?

Kasha started in the early 80`s. Im talking the one that plugged into V1 preamp socket. Read it in article early 80`s. Then ultimate sin tour 2 800 half stacks nothing plugged in to front but they on. Who knows long time ago I was a young man then.

Sounds like a Dirty Shirley with a BE style back end (solid state rectifiers, maybe higher filtering).

Very interested!

The EVH series frankie with d tuna. I saw the photo earlier today that was supposed to be legitimate.

Will reserve judgement until I hear it but this quote "or more of a highly idealized 800 tone..." is already off putting i.e. silky compression and suppressed marshall high end. will see

Can you tell us anything about the Twin Sister that's been mentioned over on TGP? Crossing my fingers for a Dirty Shirley with a second foot-switchable gain/master.

Engl apparently are releasing a bunch of new cabs (they seem to have been slowly removing their old cab lines and teased new cabs for NAMM) as well as what appears to be a mini-head with attenuation and IR loader.

This is the big thing this year
Ir loaders and power settings
That Suhr Revv. Deizel and now Engl

I saw an orange ad that was throwing shade at all the lunch box amps. It was like every company teasing NAMM this year, then it was a pixelated dual terror

I guess the 40 will be a 'deluxe' Dirty Shirley (by the way, Dave, do you get royalty on it from George? :) )
I wonder what's up with the horizontal 2x12 and I guess the new JEL voicing will be condensed into a pedal at some point.
My idealized boosted 800 is the BE :D

Got this in my notices this morning. KSR Power amp

I already put a deposit down on this. $799 for a Tube Power amp is a killer deal. Plus I have bought 3 KSR products and have been absolutely satisfied with the tone, quality, and customer service.

The only thing is the form factor of it. At first I was going to just wait for the rackmount version but honestly I can just sit this beside by cab or pedalboard. Having a non rackmounted tube power amp is a hard egg to crack as far as form factors go.

I am hoping that maybe something will pop up from Fryette, but I don't think that that is likely. I would slaughter for a low wattage fryette head.

TBH, I don't really follow new products, I buy used on a good deal, I am not willing to take a 40% hit on something new.

I hope Friedman comes out with a bunch of awesome shit so the value of the older amps decreases. Lol. That's all I care.

There is the Deliverance 2 series, but other than that and the LX2 I don't know if there is anything "new"

As far as a low wattage head, have you tried the Valvulator GPDI? Might suit ya
