There are plenty of 'GOP people' that love him just like there are plenty of conservatives and independents that can't stand him. I'm OK if he's not a real republican. My point is that he could have even more voters than he does if he could tweak some things.

I don't know man , many people wanted him to tweak his approach in the past but then realized it's his attitude and refusal to take shit that makes him so ridiculously popular .

GOP Presidents before him never ever fought back after being relentlessly attacked by the left , they just took it and make no mistake it doesn't matter who the opposition is , anybody who is the opponent of the left will be crucified 24/7 365 by the mainstream.

Don't forget Trump was ADORED by the left UNTIL he decided to run for President .

Oh, yeah. The left adored Trump when he was spouting the BS about Obama not being born in the United States....

Remember how many times he'd speak in front of the press and promise to deliver PROOF of Obama's illegitimacy "very soon"? He did that for literally years and never came up with a damn thing. You would have though a lot of republicans would have learned a lesson from that.

Lack of proof is not proof of lack, comrade.

Exactly.

I honestly feel badly for traditional Republicans - the party of Ronald Reagan and John McCain. I disagreed on policy pretty much all of the time with both of those men, but they loved the country. The entire country. And they repsected military leaders and hated Russia. Too many people today wearing the GOP label are not truly Republican imo. The white christian nationalist, pro autocracy vision for America really coalesced around Donald Trump and his MAGA moniker.

Any person in 2023 who finds themselves willingly siding with Vlad Putin and Russia is not a Republican in my opinion.
Nor are they American. They're traitors, period. Putin will ALWAYS want the destruction of the west, since he blames us for bankrupting the USSR. So now he tries for a 'do over' and it starts with Ukraine.
Anyone who sides with Putin hates America, Democracy and Freedom period.

I say we stay out of it altogether :dunno:

Oh I'm OK with the attitude and bravado but take away the 'bully' parts (for lack of a better word really) and appeal to the masses more (for lack of a better way of putting it) and he'll win a second term. Put Candace Owens in as VP, now that chick takes no shit from no one.

Mainstream media says Vietnam bad, Ukraine good. Not stop communism in Vietnam, bad. Must stop evil dictator communist Putin in Ukraine, good. Such a bunch of hypocrites. Vietnam was a more worthy cause. As was Korea. But all unnecessary.

Really? Do you really think that? Are you at all aware of Ukraine/Russia/US history?

Of course I do...Putin and his right wing ultranationalist government will always want this....this is their biggest 'grievance'. Putin's first interview back in 1999, he telegraphed EXACTLY why he will always want and wish for our downfall.
I quote "The greatest tragedy of the 20th century was the dissolution of the USSR." Putin said this, on TV back in his first year as president of Russia. Let that sink in. Not WWII, which killed most of his family...no, the greatest tragedy was the fall of the Soviet Union. And, it's well known that the west led the USSR on some very costly goose chases, that ended up bankrupting the USSR. Which he hates us for.
So, he starts his 'do over'...and it starts with Ukraine. It won't end with Ukraine, either. Whether or not you like/hate Zelensky, that makes no difference to me...but, if Putin gets away with invading and assimilating his neighbor it will only be the beginning of what's to come...and it will lead to an even bigger conflict.

Leading up to the cold war I can see why Vietnam and Korean war were important, but these days, especially now, we can't be the world police. We need to take care of ourselves, watch after ourselves, our kids, our veterans, our military, our elderly, and to some degree - our poor, homeless and challenged.

Candice Owens is hot but VP material she's not.
She's pretty smart dude and doesn't waver. You used to only really see her on Fox. Now I don't see her at all. I like what's her name from South Dakota too, Kristi.
