I'm not sure where you're getting your info, but my understanding is that the war is essentially over, and the US/West just needs to admit it. As for countries not having the right to invade others, I agree entirely, but it is hypocritical for Americans to be claiming that, unless they were opposed to Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc. as well.
From a strategic standpoint, I think you're minimizing how strong a Russia/China/Iran military alliance is, as well as your estimates of countries that support the US in this matter -- maybe you meant 90% of western countries? The world order is reorganizing and it is no longer an American unipolar order. I think this was the stupidest blunder ever because it was entirely foreseeable and also because the US provoked it in hopes of maintaining world hegemony.
And now the US has managed to push the worlds biggest nuclear power and biggest economy, Russia and China into a military alliance, something Zbigniew Brzezinski said must never happen. And just wait, once Germany's economy craters, and as the fallout of all this becomes more evident, the EU will not be so gung-ho about the US, and NATO will be finished. France has already been grumbling.
