Putin and his right wing ultranationalist government will always want this....this is their biggest 'grievance'
I guess it's possible that Putin is trying to recreate the USSR. I don't really see that, regardless of what he may have said decades ago. ...I personally view the 1990's broken promise of no eastward NATO expansion, the US involvement in the 2014 coup and Ukraines desire for nuclear weapons the precipitating factors and legitimate points of contention. I don't think that makes me a "Traitor" to believe that, and I never pledged allegiance to the US empire anyways. What do you think the US would do if say, Mexico wanted to join a military pact with China, or Russia wanted to put some nukes there?

@Racerxrated "By last summer, the baseline view of most U.S. intelligence community analysts was that Russia felt sufficiently provoked over Ukraine that some unknown trigger could set off an attack by Moscow, the former official said. (The CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment.)" Intelligence knew it would happen it appears. Was it intentional all along? https://news.yahoo.com/in-closer-ti...als-long-saw-promise-and-peril-090006105.html

Candice Owens' claims to fame after dropping out of college:
1. She purposely says things blacks are not suppose to say in a blatant effort to appeal to extreme conservatives.
2. She kisses Donald Trump's ass every chance she gets.
She's the token GOP colored bimbo. It's really funny how many have fallen for such an obvious pandering for their approval.

I understand that point of view; and a good friend who spent 25 yrs in and retired from the military pointed that out. However, there are differences...Firstly, Mexico was never a part of the US like Ukraine was a part of the USSR. We didn't say 'you can have your independence'. We haven't subjugated Mexican citizens in any way, not like Russia has in the past and is attempting to do now. Putin said that 'Ukraine doesn't have the right to exist." I don't think you need to look any further than that; with that statement he said everything there is to say on his 'plan' for Ukraine. NATO exists purely to deter Russian 'Imperialism'....which is in their blood, it's who they are. NATO would never invade Russia....even though Putin has stated that there will be an "Inevitable war with NATO".

I do hope I'm wrong; no one wants war. But, no country has a right to invade and 'assimilate' another independent country. This is why 90% of the world is against Putin. Putin's allies? Hmm, North Korea, China(somewhat), and Iran. What great, just and powerful allies! :hys: I'd not be proud of those alliances. They are obviously the new 'Axis of Evil'.

The good news is, Russia is barely a functional military. The same things that made them defeatable back in the cold war days are still present...no NCO Cadre to keep the enlisted soldiers in line, corruption within its officer ranks, and basically lying to Putin to appease him because they are afraid of being sacked. This is the Russian way. They are using cold war weapons; and their 'mighty hyperglide weapons' are taken down with the 30 yr old Patriot systems. There is no need to fear them anymore....and yes they have nukes but so do we. So Nuke threats are simply words; they aren't stupid enough to launch against anyone since they'd be destroyed in short order.

Until Putin and his ultranationalist government is replaced, unfortunately Russia will continue on serving up their youth as cannon fodder; Ukraine is in the process of splitting up the land currently held by Russia, and once that's done it's just a matter of time before Russia's army will retreat, or be completely destroyed.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info, but my understanding is that the war is essentially over, and the US/West just needs to admit it. As for countries not having the right to invade others, I agree entirely, but it is hypocritical for Americans to be claiming that, unless they were opposed to Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc. as well.

From a strategic standpoint, I think you're minimizing how strong a Russia/China/Iran military alliance is, as well as your estimates of countries that support the US in this matter -- maybe you meant 90% of western countries? The world order is reorganizing and it is no longer an American unipolar order. I think this was the stupidest blunder ever because it was entirely foreseeable and also because the US provoked it in hopes of maintaining world hegemony.

And now the US has managed to push the worlds biggest nuclear power and biggest economy, Russia and China into a military alliance, something Zbigniew Brzezinski said must never happen. And just wait, once Germany's economy craters, and as the fallout of all this becomes more evident, the EU will not be so gung-ho about the US, and NATO will be finished. France has already been grumbling.

Sorry, but reading this has me laughing....and realizing that you are, unfortunately, a regular old VATNIK.
Have a great day!

to his credit, his posts make me feel special sometimes. According to him, I should have died 17 times by now from the Covid Vaccine.
I'm clearly a medical miracle.
YES!!! We all are, including my 130+ co workers who've had the vaccine. And, of course, all the overflowing Funeral Homes in my area (NOT! :hys:)
because of all the horrible Vacc related deaths....NOT.

Then, of course, he changes the 'Cancers will kill in 6 months!!!' to 'Cancers will kill in 9 years!!!'
Ya ok.
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::hys::hys::hys:

you are, unfortunately, a regular old VATNIK.
Look, I think you're given to American/Western propaganda, but I'm not calling you an idiot. Usually people start calling names when they have no other response. I guess we'll all find out how this goes in a few months, won't we? Did you ever watch the Jeffrey Sachs interview I posted?

You need a much thicker skin to hang around here. Didn't you check the place out before joining? But, for the record, I also think you are an idiot for some of the views you've expressed in your last few posts.

It doesn't bother me, I'm just pointing it out. It's called ad hominem and it's not an argument.

...So @Baked Bean and @Racerxrated , do you want to acknowledge — as the NATO secretary general did — that the war was provoked, could have been prevented, and is not the result of the aspirations of "Hitler 2.0" as you've been instructed to believe? ...Or would you rather continue to flatter yourselves as being on the winning side of an epic good vs evil tale cooked up by US war propagandists?

I'd rather continue to consume as much information as I can gather on my own, and then form my own opinions based on that.
The Russian-Ukranian war has been going on since 2014 and the major escalation occurred 19 months ago with the invasion.

What is the mighty Russia and Putin waiting for? When are they planning on declaring victory?

Every country has the right to exist, IMO. So, no I don't believe it was provoked. That was Putin's excuse/justification for invading. Period. Every country, also, has the right to defend itself, or align with whomever they wish in any type of Defensive alliance. Putin says NATO will attack Russia; anyone with any common sense knows this to not be true. NATO is a Defensive alliance. And, any country bordering Russia that truly wants it's own independence would be smart to become a part of NATO, since that should deter Russia from their obvious Imperialistic ambitions. Russia under Putin has proved NATO right, since he's attempting to assimilate Ukraine. And, NATO has expanded because of the invasion, which has to piss Putin right off lol. Russia doesn't get to 'make the rules as Russia sees fit' in the world....no one is threatening to invade Russia. So that's just an excuse Putin uses as propaganda...something he's very familiar with as ex KGB.
Oh, and the whole 'Ukrainian Nazi' thing.....any idiot knows this not to be true..so what if you have 1 racist battalion...the country is run by a Jew...the accusation is stupid at best.
Let's not forget Yevgeny Prighozin, who most Russians hailed as a hero, called Putin out before his failed mutiny and said there are NO NAZIS in Ukraine, proving again the premise for invasion is pure BULLSHIT at best.

So while you continue to lap up the propaganda from Putin, and parrot anything pro Russia since you are clearly a VATNIK, the rest of us with any common sense know the truth.
Have a great day VATNIK!

That's cool you have an opinion. I don't consider her a bimbo at all, she's quite intelligent. She wasn't able to finish school due an issue with her student loan. She is appealing to the masses by speaking her mind and being blatant. Remember, it wasn't that long ago she was a liberal. She switched just like I did :dunno:

"Saying in 2017, "I became a conservative overnight ... I realized that liberals were actually the racists. Liberals were actually the trolls ... Social Autopsy is why I'm conservative."

I don't consider her a bimbo at all.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Kamala Harris, since the initial comparison included her. Candice Owen is a mediocre media personality, and a pretty craven one at that. How convenient she saw the light right after Donald Trump took office. She saw an opportunity $$$ and she went for it. I predict she runs for a MAGA GOP state office next with her eye on DC. Admit it, her MAJOR claim to popularity among the MAGA demographic is she's black and pretty. Although that crowd made Diamond and Silk superstars for about 15 minutes so pretty might not have anything to do with it.

No it wasn't you fool. I just showed you the evidence. You're just making up conspiracy theories without evidence. The breakaway regions voted. The ethnic Russians in the Donbass have been targeted and killed for years. You're living in a fever dream concocted by the US war/empire machine. ...Even if all the propaganda you regurgitate was true, since when the fuck is Ukraine American soil?

FFS please educate yourself:

"Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in an interview posted to his YouTube channel on Saturday that the US and its Western allies “blocked” his efforts of mediating between Russia and Ukraine to bring an end to the war in its early days."

"US Senator Joe Manchin said at the World Economic Forum on Monday that he opposes any kind of peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia."

"U.S. Wants to See Russia Weakened, Says Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin After Ukraine Visit"

"American support for Ukraine is not charity. It’s in our own direct interests – not least because degrading Russia helps to deter China." -Sen McConnell

Again, I'm sure the US would allow Mexico to form an alliance with Russia, and totally allow Russia to install nukes there. You're totally nuts dude.
