Need a Boost that DOES NOT cut the low end.

I asked this question years back.

An EQ with a level control will be the boost and tone shaper of you need it.

I also have a Blue Note. It has a treble/tone dial, and a fat dial, pulls up the lower mids without getting muddy. Think of a Bogner sort of thick wiry mids. Guitar Center is now carrying the Blue Note since it is getting awesome reviews.

MK.4.23. TOTALLY TRANSPARENT. It doesn't tightnen an amp up like a clean boost, it just gives you more of what your amp already has without coloration. Awesome pedal.

+1! Great pedal!

For a transparent boost without loss of bass, try the CAE MC401 or 402: http://www.jimdunlop.com/products/elect ... lectronics

I also dig the Mesa Boogie pedals and have the Gridslammer. That pedal doesn't cut the bass as much as the SD-1 or OD808 variants. I guess the Fluxdrive would be good too, but I don't have it. Just saying the obvious, all these pedals have a tone knob for a reason.

If you're after transparency you surely need to go with Creation Audio Labs MK.4.23 - http://www.creationaudiolabs.com/mk423/
I have tried a lot of boosts and I don't think there is anything better than this one on the market right now. It will definitely not cut your lows plus it will emphasis harmonics that you've been missing.

The new Boss OD1-X. Best OD I've ever used. Bass and Treble controls. Makes everything I've tried it with sound HUGE! Miles better than my OCD and SD-1. Extremely transparent.
x2 ...

Bad Monkey for me and I've tried many. To me it just sounds like my amp but "more" of it. Very cheap, has it's own bass and treble controls. It just works.

** Edit - didn't see the new Boss OD1x... Me want!!!!!

I was a little hesitant to spend $150 on a Boss pedal, but I'm glad I did. All the controls on the OD1-X are extremely reactive and the pedal is almost dead quiet. What's even better is that low AND higher gain settings it still doesn't crap out your tone or turn it into a mushy mess.

I agree its' super quiet and keeps together. I wound up getting one for free after a shipping blunder.

The Xotic BB+ has a clean boost that can add or cut low end. It seems to cut low end like most drives do, and the low end control adds it back at a different frequency.

The Surreal 'More' I had was a good boost that retained low end also.

You need to Try the Empress ParaEQ in front or in the Loop of your amp. best pedal por the $$$ along with an Strymon El capistan pedal.
