Never had that problem with mine. In fact, I lived on the blue channel. Try a brighter tube, like a Tungsol or EH in V1.

It's an evh 1 x 12. On the floor

I have a problem in basement where if the cab is sitting directly on the floor it sounds like holy hell. My 4x12 has wheels and I set my 1x12 on some bricks. Decoupled and problem solved. Here is a shitty clip I did when I first got it:

Interesting, I thought this clip sounded awesome compared to my amp. This I what I have been trying to achieve.

Btw, my amp was mde in Vietnam

Has anyone noticed a flub on the Mexican version? It sounds like everyone having this problem has a Vietnamese built amp.

Mine was made in Vietnam as well. I would rule out the cabinet before blaming the issue on the head...

I've heard people having this same issue with different cabs (2x12's 4x12s, and other brand cabs). Definitely don't want to start rumors about the Vietnam head but I have heard a handful of people have this flub problem, all so far were Vietnam made heads.

It's a possibility. I am taking the amp to a tech next week to have him take a look.

On my 100w, you need to crank the gain and mids on the blue channel.

both of mine were mexican made 100 watt heads, evh marshall and lopo cabs. i found that higher input levels made them flub. throw a boost on the blue with the head on max gain flubby

No flub at all on my 100w using EMG's through the matching cab.

I just tried to get my Mexican made 50 watt to do this. Carvin SC90 with Dimarzio AT-1. Blue channel gain at 1 o'clock (plus clean boost with MXR GT-OD).......master at noon (LOUD)........plugged into my 2x12 with Heritage 75hz G12H's. I get no "flub" whatsoever. I keep my Bass and Resonance both at noon. Original tubes.

Strange???

Agghhhhhh!!!! Channel 3 just died. 1 and 2 are fine. But channel 3 gives me nothing.

Damn it!!!

seems like you have a bad preamp tube going on

My early Mexican 100w, never heard a flub. However, I have noticed it with my 50w Vietnamese head.

Yup

Send it over to Brian at BFG he will turn it into a fire breathing monster and make as tight as you want it. That man has amazing skills inside those things...

Quick update... I took the amp to a tech provided by EVH tech support. After a few hours, he had it up and running again. He told me the tubes were fine and the amp was fine. He took all of the tubes out and then put them back in. Channel 3 was back!!!

Also, the flubiness is totally gone. I am loving the blue channel. Sounds sick with an EP Boost

So what exactly was the problem? I absolutely loved the amp when I had it...until the flub started :(

That flub was the most annoying nasty tone I've ever heard. Drove me CRAZY!!

Has anyone had this issue with the Mexican version? I'm just curious, because it seems like a very rare issue and of all the forums I'm on, this is the first I've heard of it. Also, my buddy has a Mexican one and there's no flub at all.

I have no issues with my 100 watt or my 50 watt.

I would think a 1x12 with a 30 watt speaker in a cab that small pushing a 50 watt amp on 3.5-4 could/would be a bigger issue than using a 4x12 in terms of getting a ratty or flubby tone.
