Ps: Good guitar solos are a must. Catchy choruses too !! make-up is not

Xyz - Hungry (similar to Ratt, Dokken sound with a great singer and guitar player - best 80's tone ever!)
Leatherwolf - self titled and street ready - really cool riffs, more progressive leaning, awesome harmony solo's (almost Racer X sounding)
Crimson Glory - Transcendence (best power/prog metal release of the 80's - compare to Queensryche)
Siam - Prayer (released in the 90's. What Queensryche should have released instead of Empire)
TNT - Realized Fantasies (underground staple. high vox, great guitar player)
Lillian Axe - Poetic Justice (every release is great. Their first 3 have a similar sound, culminating with this one. Shredding solo's, sing along chorus'. The follow up was more grungy, but equally impressive)

Manowar till the day I die. But thats a long time away according to national statistics so Ill have problems far into the future.
Distinct solos, all in E minor. I can still remember every single one (cuz I cant play them). And while it is a thing of the past, the lessons from Manowar reign supreme in a host of bands to this day.
And they help Upstate New York maintain some semblance of coolness
