New 15W Mark Tremonti PRS Amp at NAMM

15w heads dont make a whole lot of sense to me, still going to be way to loud for "home" use and wont cut it with a full band.

You played a 15 watt in full band formation?

I played the 5150 III 15 watt lunchbox for a couple of weeks during bandpractise, it was more than loud enough, very capable!

I used a 6505 mini which is 20 watts I believe with a loud band and in hung in there.

i havent played either of those, most 50w heads dont even have enough oomph for me, i dont see how 15-20w is going to work. maybe ive just been in stupid loud bands all my life

I was waiting for this amp last year, but gave up and got an Archon 25 instead. With a creamback in there it is a killer amp. The stock G12T75 sucks with it. I kind of figured that this amp would never actually be made. Looks promising for a small practice amp.

Those transformers are sizable for a lunchbox. Love the idea of 6L6s and fixed bias in an amp like this. Should have a more solid bottom at all volume levels without the bias varying all over the place.
