How's this compare (you reckon) to the Ironball. It reminds me a little of that amp...which I've always wanted to try.

It does sound like my Ironball in the clips. The Ironball is also Class AB fixed bias, and so doesn't sound like a typical EL84 amp. I imagine they are similar in number of gain stages, and the way the power section is set up. The Ironball made in Germany (mine is the German version 230V), this one made in China, but I don't care about that much.
Anyway at this price it's a no-brainer to get one and compare them face to face, and sell the one that loses.

I'll go on record I have played many amp
Engl Deizel Rectos
It pains me to say this but there is too much gain in that thing
One of the above clips the guy was playing the gain on 2 and you were already well
Past your Ozzy Preist 80s stuff
It's taken many years but I am tapping out
I cannot imagine this thing with gain on 10
No big deal. Nothing a lower gain preamp tube won't tame.

Yup.
Expect the tone to change along with it.

I would just turn the gain down . lol it sounds great at 9 o'clock or when he turns it up to 11 o'clock really your neck in neck with an Uber there

This is what I found on the 6505 mini and also the 5153 50 watt. To much gain. And I tried lower gain preamp tubes. You can turn the gain down, but once you get it low enough to lose that buzziness, you also lose the good stuff too.
I hope this amp is not the same way, I would like to hear some lower gain clips where you can hear the tone of the amp and not just the chunk.. Those clips sound good but that tone would get buried in a live mix with another guitar, then again I don't know if a 15 watter is meant to be used live.

Sounds really good so far, should be a hit barring any major bumbles that we don't know about yet.

I will check this one out and report back.

Total Tom fail if you don't run it thru a 4x12 and give us an accurate report. Texting you now.

I pretty much did fail. The PRS booth is so jammed packed and we had like 3 minutes in there before they booted us out for some event or whatever. This was some guy playing it and Lasse Lambert dialing it in. Sounded great though! I like the tone. Sorry no 4x12 in the booth.
