I've had one since launch. It's a great pedal for the price. I use it a lot to practice while the kids are sleeping. It records pretty well, but I still have to boost (and often double boost) to get any satisfactory gain structure. The tweed, 1959 and recto Sims are the only ones I've found any real use for. Running it through the powerstation or an fx loop is much the same. It needs a bit of persuading for some sounds, but it works well enough. It interacts with other pedals great too.

You can defeat the amp or cab sims which came in handy after I got the powerstation and wondered why it sounded like shit recorded line out (no IR, d'oh). You can load your own IR into it, but I'm pretty far behind my time with all that stuff... lol

Can it load nam profiles?

Again, I'm a bit of a technological dinosaur... but I hope so! I've been wanting to try some. I've heard a few guys using @2dor profiles and they sound killer.

I got one probably a year or so ago. I did not like it at all but not sure what I was doing wrong. Maybe I didn't have a great setup for it or something else.

I play one venue that's a silent stage with in-ears maybe once or twice a year. I didn't have any other modelling stuff, so I bought the IR-2 to use for those gigs. I made a little pedalboard with it. I think it sounded just fine. I'm not a modelling expert, but it didn't sound horrible or anything. I used it for 2 or 3 gigs. It was '90s rock.

I still keep it in my backpack as a backup.

Mmmm so looks like a decent device for ampless rig. Has to be expected considering the price I guess. Unfortunately with modelers and digital stuff in general you gotta be cautious with youtube demos due to the massive post production, and in fact in more than a few it sounds great for metal no stomp added. But then again, even in the Ola review (where it sounds quite convincing) he says it's just "Ok for the price", and in that demo the best sounding higain model is the recto with mids dimed anyway, so yeah. It's a shame cause looks comfy, no frills, no menu, fine with other stomps and you can load your own IR but if amp models are mostly meh then it's hardly gonna replace a tube amp for giggin, especially if FOH is not a slice of miracle. A good backup maybe, but might find even cheaper options there.

Mmm no, I guess it does not. Which is likely gonna be an issue in the near future
