Ive been thinking on going with mills acoustic cabs... stereo, so i can run two heads into one cab if needed. I currently own basson cabs... If i change the speakers in the basson will i acheive the same result? Are x pattern cabs worth the hype, esp when you mic one speaker live? v30 vs the k100s for diezel amps, x pattern or all of one?

X patterns are cool. Some speakers sound better mic'd up, others better in the room. If you go with a stereo 4x12 cab, keep in mind the total power handling per side is the lowest wattage speaker x 2. So an X pattern of 2 V30s + 2 K100s is 120 w per side (V30 are 60w).

If you run the cab stereo you probably do not want to do X pattern. Myself I do not like X pattern ever. I recommend the V30's on top. I messed around with two amps into one 4x12 left / right and up / down. I just liked using 2 cabs a lot better. Who knows what you might find ?

its for the sake of when i can only use one cab live, but ive never tried a stereo cab runnin two amps into one cab?

2 cabs is with out a doubt the best sounding option IMO. Nothing beats the tightness and feel of 2 412's side by side. Even if they have the same speakers in them. But, 2 cabs is not always a practical option. I currently have 2 recto std cabs with V30's. I just ordered a pair of WGS "British Lead" speakers that I plan on throwing into one of my 412s. I havent decided what pattern to use yet, so I plan on experimenting a little. I have heard a 412 mesa with V30's and T75's in an X pattern and it sounded great. Ill probably start with top and bottom first though - V30's top - BL's bottom. If ilke this ill be ordering 2 more. If i dont, check the classifieds lol

I was running a Mesa Tremoverb and a THD Bivalve ~ top and bottom for a few shows .... Bivalve on top. It was a good sound and worked well for when there was not a lot of stage space. All the chunk from the Tremoveb and the crazy harmonics of the Bivalve.
