Yes they are! I used them all over my Butterslax clips I will be posting. Some of the best IR's I have purchased.

Hey Jerevil

I read you were not happy with the power station's load. Can you explain what sucked about it?

I have one and intend to use Celestion IRs with it.

When checking out Pete Thorn's video, I thought the Suhr was the best, but that the PS came very close/ similar
that with the fact it can do the attenuation thing as well just seemed like the best deal to me.

I only tried it once with redwirez and it was too hot (PS line level was too hot for my mbox)

I have a work around for that, but would love any info you have.
I have the Power Station and I'm using the Celestion IRs without any noise issues. The line out of the PS2 is hot for a Hi-Z input but easily padded down inside your DAW. The load is fantastic for me, but I might've went with the Suhr RL if I didn't also need the attenuation of the PS. It's cheaper and Pete Thorn among others say they prefer the load, but that's probably because it's modeled after the familiar response curve of Greenbacks where the PS is meant to be more generic.

Cool, thanks for the input! I was told by Fryette that I could use the send of the fx loop to go to my computer. I guess the hi-lo button on it can pad the signal. I have yet to try it. Anyways good to hear that you don't have noise. I have no clue if I could hear the difference between the loads. I'm hoping the PS with Celestion IRs just sounds like a good cab with my amp.

I'm close to trying all this again.

Yeah I'm tempted to sell and get the Suhr...but the PS really is the package deal for a non master volume amp like mine.

One thing, I have the PS1, is my line out (load) the same as the PS2? I don't care about any other features.

I have now come to realize that my days of mic'ing cabinets are over.

So far I like them quite a bit and I find them to be similar to Ownhammers in terms of quality.

Hey JerEvil, I am curious if you are able to get heavy recording tones with your Butterslax & Two Notes studio?

Are the recordings/sounds you are getting similar to how the Butterslax sounds through your cab? I have a Suhr RL and have tried all sorts of IR loaders and IR's and I can get ok heavy tones but they don't sound like how my amp would sound thru a real cab. So If I dial in a nice heavy sound with really heavy jug jug sounds (think old Anthrax/SOD) on my amp thru my cab and then switch to the Suhr RL it kind of sounds like ass.. and I have to dial in a completely different sounding sound for direct recording that kind of doesn't represent my amp's characteristics... I hope that makes sense.

So I'm curious does the Butterslax sound really close to a Butterslax with a cab with the Two Notes studio? Or does it sound different-ish? Thanks!

I'll shoot you a PM, but YES... the Two Notes Studio with the Butterslax sounds legit IMHO. That long play through demo I did was done using the Studio.

They are getting really close now.... there was very very little difference here and I am picky as hell. In fact, I notice more difference clean than I did distorted...

I never considered using the effects loop out into my interface. I'll have to try that too.

Yes these are amazing. Even beyond sounding great, I like that the options are easy to pick out from and you are not overwhelmed with a bunch of useless IRs to sift through.

Wonder if he is going to bring out a creamback variant for the 1x12 cabs.
