Pretty damn impressive one-man project, the fourth full-length from Blake Lamoureux's Ophidian Memory

The second EP/release from Tempest out of Querétaro, Mexico

Another great band out of Chile, Oraculum, with their first full-length, released today

That warrants its own thread...on SSO lol. I loosely follow Dean's channel and saw those. Seem cool I guess. In a world saturated with Ss and Ts, it's great to see more companies cater to a particular niche.
Haha! Exactly!

Yeah, not really my thing but good for him, he and Claire seem like good people.

You gotta practice your upstrokes @watson503
Hey, I've been practicing MOP with upstrokes! lmmfao

Just kidding but funny you mention that as lately I have been changing some things up and doing upstrokes as a variation to this drill from Ben Eller I saw a few years back that I use to warm-up. I used to really focus on my right hand as I'm left-handed but play right and would do these damn drills just upstroking for three minutes to a metronome to better my downstrokes and overall picking/getting my right hand in-line. I used to run into tennis elbow but doing variations on things such as that has kept it at bay for years.

That's kinda what Ellis was saying about the upstrokes. I think he was talking about tremolo picking at the time and was saying that he practiced upstrokes a lot which really helped his speed and strength when tremolo picking.

Exactly! I went back and looked and it was around 5:30 in this video where he gets into that - someone might get something out of this and it should start on that part but if not it is @ the 5:30 mark

Yes! I watched that and it's changed the way I practice (I've been playing 30 fucking years lol). Thanks Brandon.

It always warms my heart to see real guitar players talking technique like humans. It's how you can tell Brandon Ellis is for real and not an Ichiko style grifter.
