The pilot planned to aim at the tour bus to kill his estranged wife and Randy caused the plane to clip the bus and crash into the house/garage.

Driver/pilot was on a weeks long coke binge. His FAA license was expired too or he had been grounded.
I heard that too. One eyewitness account said they saw Randy fighting in the cockpit for the controls just before it hit the bus.
Randy had a huge fear of flying on top of that.
Drugs man.

Exactly, I don't buy that. That dude had buzzed the bus a few times or at least once. If he was comfortable enough to go up, it was too late to turn back if anything murderous was going to take place. Like the others have said, drugs and booze and over confidence / tour boredom.

We will never know cuz dead men tell no tales.
THIS ...Good song from lemmy tho...
i don't care if these videos are just repacking info from books... they're still great videos to put it all into a quick package with photos and all. thanks for posting this.

Just send the Long Island medium over to the crash site, she will conjure up the spirit of 10 people within seconds and can get you the answer. She clicks those freaky nails together and dead people appear!

I know that anything is possible, but I don’t buy the murder angle. As someone earlier said, Aycock had made two passes already, and he’d been up in an earlier flight. I think he just got too close on that last pass. He was flying recklessly. But I wasn’t there, so my opinion is based solely on other accounts of those who where there, and the aviation reports and investigations.

There are only three people that know the truth, and sadly.. they are all dead. I'm a huge Randy fan, and got into all the crash stuff there for a while. There is even a picture that I'm sure we've all seen 100 times, that puportedly claimed to show Randy's body but if it wasn't pointed out and you don't know what you're looking at you'd never notice it. I'd heard about the "Aycock was trying to kill his wife" angle, along with Randy fighting with Aycock on the plane, etc.. I believe that Don Airey believes what he saw was a "fight" in the cockpit. However, there was another explanation that was floated about at one time that I tend to lend more creedence to, but I've never actually seen anything in print that says where Randy and Rachel were sitting on the plane that would support it. This theory states that Rachel was in the front seat, next to Aycock and Randy was in the back. It's a well known fact that Rachel suffered from a heart condition, and it's thought that something happened while on the flight that caused her to have a heart attack and due to this, to interact (probably uknowingly or by reflex) with the controls causing the crash. The "fight" that Don saw in the cockpit, was Randy trying to pull Rachel back off the controls.

Anyway, just another speculation thrown out there for good measure. No matter what happened. three people lost their lives that day and there isn't anything that's going to change that now.

He may have hated his ex but he adored Randy, so why would he have killed him?

Occam's Razor. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the right one.
Drugs/booze and potentially deadly stuff don't always mix well.

Just ask Terry Kath.

Whyyyyyyyyy did he get in that plane? I have a commercial pilot buddy who stashes a local car and flies here to rock climb in this puddle jumper and I would never get in that thing. I hate flying in jets. Need at least one beer for take off.

Was Randy "hexed" by a witch for quitting the band?
Man, I’ve got a theory that’s along those lines. It’s far fetched, but I know from Daisley’s book that they were doing seances during writing and recording sessions at Ridge Farm. I wonder if some kind of Faustian deal was (wittingly or unwittingly) struck.

First I've heard this. It doesn't surprise me. Not one bit. Randy's "gut" reaction was to decline Ozzy's offer to join the band. Gary Moore talked him into accepting it. Always listen to your heart.

It was actually his mother who talked him into taking the Ozzy gig. That seance theory is just my own. Did they unlock something they weren’t supposed to? It’s far fetched. It also seems unlikely because I think Randy was at least a semi-religious person. Not saying he was perfect, but I know the dark stuff that surrounded Ozzy’s camp bugged Randy. In the end, I think it was just a stupid accident. Simple as that.

They've said this for years. I didn't read anything new.
