New Music...It's Ugly...But I Like It

[angelspade]

New Nails singles released this morning...Not going to win any awards for guitar tone or interesting songwriting structures...But it's raw, nasty and full of energy....And I dig it.

I like how the guitars have a shit ton of gain in a generation where "you always need less gain than you think" and ,"nobody ever needs that much gain" have become slogans.

I dislike the snare sound.

But the songs are cool

Sounds like Nails. I fuckin love Nails.
I think they peaked at YWNBOOU.

one thing i do like is bands randomly dropping a couple songs like this instead of the traditional full album, i just dont have the time nor really the attention span anymore to digest a 12 song 50 minute album or whatever, give me 2-3 songs like this a couple times a year

my first thought on the first song was they reminded me of Slaves on Dope

Well, in fairness to Nails a 12 song album would be around 20 minutes.

That is one thing I miss about CDs, those Friday night trips to Circuit City to spend a portion of my paycheck. Even short on time ,That CD didn't leave the CD player until you knew every song
