New Slipknot Single

They are just such a different band to me now. That original bond they had helped them create that sound. Two original members dead and DJ, sampler, and third drummer gone. Their writing ability and other contributions made Slipknot sound the way they did. They are this machine with replacement parts. Don't get me wrong, I dig some of the songs when they come out but isn't the same.

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root has shared more insight on the band's latest single "Arsenal." As it turns out, the song will not be featured on the group's new album, which is currently being tracked.

Root responded to a fan when asked about the negative reception to the track:

"It depends on the commenter really. I mean. What's their band doing? And 'Arsenal' was a tune we could quickly get out there while we work on the rest of the record. It's not really representative of the other tunes."
