OK I know it's all tongue-in-cheek but they're better than 99.9% of everything out there. That was fucking hilarious!

Couldn't agree more.^

Love it. I need to pick up a disc or two from these guys.

Their first album was the best, then the second, and lastly the third. I'm not a huge fan of the latest one.

They used to play in Vancouver a lot so I've seen them a bunch of times. The first time, they were incredible, second time, really really good and then it just went downhill each time. The last time was kind of cringe-y: the exactly the same schtick, word for word, same cover riffs in the guitar solo, 15 minutes wasted trying to get girls to get their tits out etc. You can do that once or twice, but not if you play in the same city for the same people every couple of months.

And so, for me, the joke has got old and the music isn't a patch on what they used to do. I think it's a great idea and they should ride it for all it's worth, but it's just not as good as it used to be - they're buying into their own hype..

Did you see them when they were just a cover band before they released Feel the Steel?

agreed. I like SP a lot...always have, and it's not that they are getting old for me, but I feel the song writing has kinda been lack luster.

They used to be funny and play good songs. Not anymore :-(

Wow, Can't believe I watched that.
That was horrible. :scared:

You can't take them seriously.....it's a joke. That's their thing.

I agree with most of the comments here. I think their albums would rank 1-2-3 in that order in terms of the material. There are a few killer songs on the latest album but "pussy whipped" for me, is not one of them. they could have done Bukkake tears or gang bang in the old folk's home. Both are awesome tunes and show that they can write catchy material. Besides, as is the case with every band in the world, usually you are only getting 4-5 good tunes on any album. The rest are filler (that's just about every Crue record except shout at the devil).

As for the shtick, I agree. The silly chatter can get old at times and they are better off varying it a bit and letting the music do the talking. I have watched a few live festivals they do and boy do they bring it performance wise. Awesome musicians and entertainers. Most of the time i just fast forward Satchel and Starr talking..

Love these guys, all of their albums are solid, insane players to say the least but the live show has WAAAAAY too much talking.

Love SP! The first album is a CLASSIC. Honestly I think they should drop the comedic songs and crossover to mainstream (but still 80's cheesy type) new material. They've certainly got the fan base worldwide to do it. As long as they keep their stage show as ridiculously funny as it is, it could work. People still LOVE their cover material.

Fat Girl(Thar she blows)
Death to all but Metal....classics

"17 cunts in a row" just rips guitar tone wise.

There is supposed to be talking, it is schtick. That is the point of the band. You either get them or you dont. I love all three discs and try to catch them whenever they come to town, but then again I love the whole experience and know what I am getting....and appreciate it.
