Sounds alright but feels like they missed the mark on added value in terms of a "modified" switch with at least one of the gain settings they included with the modded amps. I have 3 JCM800's, this is not for me. I suspect many people have an 800 but will still pick this up and I don't get the logic in that. Maybe to play live through the 20 watt synergy platform but outside of that? I suppose one could make the argument that it will do the cranked tones at lower volume like the JMP does but still hard to beat the real amp. I also thing the black plate Synergy 800 already did that sound pretty convincingly. I know my old Friedman Randall Brahma module nails it. Just feels a bit redundant if they didn't add anything special to make it stand out.
