Thought I would post a vid cover of Mean Street. Disclaimer- no, I did not play the intro. I haven't practiced that part for years. Maybe I should! I know the solo isn't exact but I forgot how tough the timing is of some of Eddie's stuff when he was in his prime playing days. Either way, here you go!

Laughing!! Not negative. I just know there are a lot of great players that can mimic EVH better than I can. I don't have much interest in my age going back to the woodshed to exact the way he plays. I get close enough for my liking. More of a comment on the little details Eddie has/had to his playing: timing/groove/feel. Actually I think the clip sounds pretty good. The "gonna get hammered" comment has more to do with either playing it exactly how HE played it or the tone isn't Brown enough. I have never been a proponent for playing it exact. Make it your own. In addition, I like hearing different types of tones. Thanks for checking it out.

I think Chad is just humble, and never brags. I loved it. I don't ever care if things are played exactly like it is, if you make it your own and it sounds cool, then fuck it, rock out and have fun. Your jack tharamatt(sorry for the spelling) or Mandy aren't exactly the same as the original artists, but that hasn't stopped me from repeated viewing of them.
