If you don't like super reliced guitars, this is NOT the thread for you! :)

My local mom and pop music store had been trying to move this for quite some time and offered me a really nice discount.

I can't say no to a good deal and I like to support them, so I snagged it.

Overall it s really cool guitar! I polished up the tarnished frets and slapped some new strings on it and it rips! Really resonant, light (especially for an ash body), and a lot of fun to play. Plus IMHO it looks cool and has a nice vibe.

I usually like lower output hot PAF, but the JB sounds great as does the dimarzio in the neck. I may swap out the JB eventually, but only to experiment rather than "fix" it.

Is it as nicely done as my Luxxtone? No, but it hangs with it at a fraction of the price.

Here ‘tis:

These seemed to have gotten a lot of buzz since they came out. Most people seem to rave about them.

Can you still get the action pretty low being a top mount Floyd?

Man I had that in my cart a few times! But went with the weathered white pro mod San Dimas.
Badass dude
I had that same white San Dimas in cart several times, but couldn't do it. I think the price is ridiculous for what it is. I haven't checked lately, but maybe they'll come down or get blown out.

Got one myself recently, terrific playing guitar!

I’m planning on having it repainted in two tone sunburst like a vintage fender and changing out the dimarzio in the neck

It is ,but what a platform you have to work with. Nitro finish and those necks! But yeah I get what you're saying(y)

I doubt they are pretty popular and use nitro.

Even Jim Root rocks one. Pretty killer and was going to go for one and they are dope but currently out of my budget. Might pick one up in black maybe down the road. Don't normally like black but it looks good.

I love these things. This thread is making me reach for my wallet...

This is like the new(er) de-striped EVH relic guitars but with better body wood and a functional neck pickup.

My brother has one of the EVH's. The red one.. He bought it from Pro Audio Star at a substantial discount, and it's a great playing guitar. However, it's not nearly worth the price they're normally asking, ($1549?) It looks and feels cheap. The neck is awesome though.

I think he got it for $799. It was factory sealed.

HNGD!

I'm not a relic person, even buying used when it comes to guitars and keyboards is rare for me, usually only when something is no longer available new. I want new, pristine, in the factory sealed box, virgin guitars and keyboards that have not been damaged intentionally or not.

Yep.

The paint is so thin you can see some of the grain from the wood under it...... so nice.

I have to have one of these, this is how a hot rodded superstrat should look like !

After playing it daily since the weekend I gotta say it's a killer rock guitar.

Sustain for days, great neck, super resonant, and I've really come to appreciate the JB once I got it dialed in.

It's a ripper!

Awesome congrats. It’s great finding a guitar that fits like a glove
