Hi all, after my previous thread and helpful comments from you all, I decided to go ahead and buy the Gibson LP Modern. She arrived this morning and after returning from work , I cracked open the case and got to playing.
I tell you what, the sound unamplified is very balanced and clear, really nice. Guitar feels great in the hands and to play. Very impressed with the fit and finish, although one minor point is Gibson not fully scraping the fretboard binding very well at parts.
Generally really really impressed, quite a thin neck and a lovely smooth ebony fretboard. Will get to plugging her in tomorrow night. Will also need my usual strings and setup at later date to dial it in some more.
