The last gigging I did was 13 years ago. While it was only a cover band, the late nights really began taking a toll on me after several years. One day I just woke up and knew I was done. Informed my wife, quit the band, and sold off my gear. Didn't think I would ever look back.
That was in 2006. But last week I got the itch, answered a Craigslist ad, and found myself in a new band. Was playing the only guitar I had left (an old crappy LP copy that had been stored away in my closet) into a Katana I had picked up for the audition. Wow, solid state has come a long way in 15 years.....but I digress.
I knew I needed a Floyd equipped guitar for this band, and after scouring both Reverb and Ebay I found this one several days ago. I believe it is from 1989, but I don't know for sure. No serial number. It just arrived Fedex, and I can not believe how good the condition is. Zero fret wear too. I had one just like it (in brown) in the early 2000's and it was one of my favorites back then. The early eclipses aren't very pretty, but they are great players and the old German Floyds really stay in tune well.
Stoked to get it home and plug it in.
