Yeah man congrats that guitar is really nice. Love horizon, never tried emg in it but is killer. What bkp are you throwing in if you end up swapping? I have the miracle man in mine and sounds nice but am curious to hear with actives.

I have a set of painkillers in my ltd eclipse right now. I'm sure I'll swap them out soon, but it sounds so good right now I'm reluctant to tear it down.

How do you like that Horizon? There's a local guy selling the same guitar but with passive pickups for $900, I've been tempted to pick it up. Not because I need it..

Can you get good tones out of the triple at less-than-gig volume? I've had a single & have a dual (Tremoverb), the dual actually sounds better at practice volume than the single did. They both rip when you turn them up!

How would you compare the JCM800 now that you've made the trade?

The horizon is the jam! It just seems like a quality guitar the way it feels and resonates. I had hoped I would like it,but I really like it! I finally get to play it through the Mesa later this evening, only played it through the iPad/bias app so far. Also haven't even fired up the triple yet lol. Will do that as well this eve. It is the fourth or fifth recto I've had though.
The 800 is just apples and oranges compared to a recto. There's just a line that one can cross and the other can't. Both real loud forceful amps tho. I kept my favorite 2204, as I use it and a les Paul for my main band and it fits that style best, the recto and the esp are for my more modern project.
