Well, I get home and there's a box on my porch. I don't expect many packages, but when I see the WV address...I already knew it was going down. @JackBootedThug is the man. I have not had a wah in years, and recently got GAS. I am ready to get funky as fuck....just more evidence that JBT is the real Champion. Plus the homemade soaps. Just made my damn Easter!

Happy NPD!

Cheers man ImO tied with the Dimebag wah for one of the best current production wahs IME.

You may want to consider a @NowYou'rePlayingWithPower signature Griff Love You Long Time envelope filter / follower pedal if you want to get funky.

wish I thought of that for a pedal.

Been awhile since I had an EHX Q-Tron.

I picked up the 95q the other day and it is switchless…plus it sounds great for me. Then I got to thinking 🤔…. I bet my boo japetus would like my old one…so there you go…

If you always want to, to dial it in you could always adjust the potentiometer/claw to get the throw and throttle just right and you can also adjust the internal trim pots to get the quacks and wahs pretty much anyway you want.

When I had one I always set the red side to about a quarter and the yellow side a bit less than half way on the Q. Gain I put just a bit above unity gain and that's about it but yeah everyone has a different feel for these things. I also always had the boost on but set at 0 just to add a bit more mojo.

Either way it sounds great and definitely love these, it was my main wah for a while and even put it up against vintage Vox Italian wahs and the yellow fasel side on the CAE was as good and way better than actual vintage Vox wahs IMO/IME.

Probably the only other one that comes close is the EVH wah on its own and the Dimebag can also be dialed in but the CAE probably gets the most vintage sounding Italian wah tone but better with more throttle and throw if you want IME on the yellow fasel side and it's worth it just for that.

I set it for awawa

It's crazy how hard it is to find a good wah pedal, these are among the best

Great score!
Honestly this.

My first wah was a 535Q when I was like 16 and it just never worked out. I never used it and I gave it to a friend for free and he ended up not using it either and traded it in for a LovePedal SuperLead pedal at GC.

Not only until I tried a CAE was I convinced okay these are pretty damn good and I meed a wah. Easily probably the yeah amongst the best. If you ever find it not playing nice with a pedal after it like a FF or RAT or something an easy Mickey Mouse is just putting a buffer pedal right after the wah to rectify possible impedance/ohm issues.

A TS9 works well, Klones with buffers, some Boss buffers etc etc or whatever IME.

The Dimebag is dope too and my fave and can nail some vintage Vox tones as well but would have to say the CAE wah is just a cut above the grass in that regard and a step above still when dialed in and has a lot of mojo and swag.
