As I see it there are personal attacks and personal attacks. Sure, it’s a subjective line. But as a relative newcomer it seems like things used to be worse. And I also think the ratio of personal attacks to substance is important, and that metric is pretty good as far as I can tell.

Oh it was WAY WORSE before, you’re absolutely right. I wasn’t really talking about you or Dan though. You guys are going to argue this shit until the cows come home, and it’s fine, but a bit tedious. Like I said, no one will change anyone else’s minds so what’s the point ? I mean, who really gives a shit ? I had one of those as a kid I musta crashed my bike a thousand times and I wasn't even trying to land tricks anywhere near Arizona.
BTW how did we go from discussing the bible to yet another moon/space fake/real deal again? I think I might just start interjecting it into every thread I visit so we can round out the board. Rig discussions with a heaping helping of space/moon. If I stick the my head into the back of a 4x12 is that inner space? Seems like it.

Ironically enough, there was a post in the beginning of this thread that got me thinking about a parallel between how science and religion are seen. I thought about it for a good hour or so but didn’t say anything here as to not derail the thread lol.

Oh yea definitely. It was about VBs first response that misinterpretations can be made after reading the bible, then it got me thinking of the misinterpretations made after reading a scientific article, and then it went from there

They think its findings are authoritative in some essential and unquestionable way and should instruct humans in all social and political matters. They imbue “Science” with an almost supernatural and awe inspiring quality, even referring to it like a spirit that can be channeled. “I am the science,” said Fauci for example. Low and behold, scientism has replaced religion for a good swath of younger college educated midwits who like to consider themselves sophisticated and intelligent.
