Hey I'm wanting to grab a single cut and was interested it what was the most bang for your buck. My price range is around $1200 and I was thinking of going Tokai, Burny. Edwards, etc.

I was tempted in an LTD ec-1000 but they seem to be made in indo now and I would like to try something Japanese, Korean or something other than indo.

What do you guys recommend? I have a balaguer hyperion in my cart that I may pull the trigger on if I can't narrow the single cut down.

My main requirement is slimmer neck vs the vintage baseball bat necks.

You could get a used EC-1000 from Korea, would be about half your budget. I've heard great things about the Tokai, Burny & Edwards and almost had one a few months ago but the dude played it and decided to keep it. Haha, I see that as a good sign. I've also seen some Korean made LTD full thickness EC's used around me too.

Actually, you could prob find a nice used ESP MIJ Eclipse for that budget.

I have played some of the indo ltd and haven't had any issues. I wonder if they do qc in the u.s. for them

ESP Alex Skolnick FTW.

What about the les paul tribute? I had a studio in the 90's and haven't had anything more than an epi since then

Second the hamer Monaco recommendation

But also eii eclipse, for that budget

A PRS S2 Singlecut would be a good option as well, just needs a pickup swap.

For that matter, their SE Singlecuts made in Korea are stupid good. Plenty of money left for upgrades.

Lol its not a r9 by any means, But for the price Range they make good stuff I'm told. Just another option

Feature-wise, its viable, but its ugly AF. Looks like a Zakk Wylde hot mess design.

Woah I haven't seen one in that color or without a Floyd. That's nice

I've owned a few. They originally had Silverburst too. Here's a couple I've owned. Seriously nice guitars from South Korea, (World Music). Grover tuners, bone nut, JB/'59 with coil tap, and Tonepros bridge & Tailpiece. Seriously nice guitars..

Good luck finding a Silverburst, (in an LTD that is). They still make the high dollar version.
