CMG is in NC? I will check them out. I live in Charlotte so I would love to have a local brand. Splawn makes guitars too but I've never heard anything about them
shit Georgia....for some reason I thought NC....

If I'm being honest there isn't much of a difference. I watched a Phil McKnight sharpen my axe vid after you posted and he really didnt do much to it which was a good sign. Then I saw an RNA vid where they went through the production line. I gotta say I'm interested in these but I'm always paranoid when something it too good of a deal. Have you ever tried one?

I saw some locally and handled them in a store but did not play them. Finish was excellent and they felt good. Finish was cool because they had this natural stripe thing going on which looked good.

That looks like something Emil Werstler would play. It looks beautiful

I was really surprised to see a top like that on a SE and I haven’t seen too many pop up on the auction sites that are comparable.

Funny though, when I showed it to my father, before telling him I bought it, he replied “Pfft, they fucked up the bookmatch on that. It’s worthless, you’d never be able to resell it because of that. Anyone in their right mind would take one look at that and say fuck it”

:ROFLMAO:

Then I told him I bought it and he continued to tell me how horrible of a job I did at picking out a guitar. First off, I don’t sell anything and I never understood the idea of buying something with the intention to sell it later. To each their own. Secondly, it was $880, not a $2500 guitar. I dunno if they use veneers on these or not, I don’t really care. I know with their carved top models, they can’t book match them perfectly because the way they end up carving them. Last of all, the thing plays so fucking great that I couldn’t care less the book match is off by a couple centimeters, I wouldn’t even care if the damn thing cost $2500.

I've been looking at Edwards this past week. It hasn't helped that I've seen several post with people getting one this week. I need to quit thinking about that for a bit as Im putting a deposit down on a Chubtone tomorrow.

I have a CMG Mark which is their T- style and it has passed my PRS S2 as my most played. I just ordered an Ashlee this month. You can use the builder on their website to get the actual cost of what you want. I live in CT but ordered through Ryan at RNA. The Mark was shipped directly to me from CMG but the Ashlee may go through RNA so that he can do a video on it (if I decide I want it directly to me he will do that again). I am 100% pleased with their product.
