Just finishing up the body for this. Neck is still in the works. Had to order more fretwire and I'm going on vacation so it'll take some time. HS pickup configuration. Kind of my take on a vintage Strat with a few modern appointments that I like on my Strats. It's pretty much going to be me taking things I like on a guitar and building my ultimate one.

Thanks! Black pickguard for this one...black humbucker and single coil. Both of those are BKP. No floyd either...gold Strat tremolo. Hopefully this one will be ready soon...

I'm building a neck as well. Reverse 50s style headstock. Rosewood board. I'll post all the build pics once it's done. I have the somewhere here...just need to dig them up...

I agree! I like the smaller headstock too, more than the big 70s style. I've got a partscaster I built with the big one, but have just grown to love the more vintage one.

Do you end up smooth sanding that coating......like you would on a car....I think that they call it colour sanding? I've always wondered about that.

Thanks! I'm letting this cure for about a week and then I'll wet sand it up to maybe 2000 grit sandpaper. I think that's similar to how you'd do it with a car but I'm not super familiar. I think I'll rub this out as well with pumice stone and oil and then rotten stone and oil to make it super smooth.
