Hey guys. For recording, I have been using the oxbox.

I’ve never used any of the Neural stuff and always used my killer Friedman. So, this is foreign to me.

I happened to see the Nolly video on YouTube and damn, that sounds pretty epic.

So, my question is this: as I’ve never used a guitar plugin for full on guitar sound. Do I just plug into my UA Apollo to use the Neural Nolly Archetype?

If I use headphones, could I record using that plugin for massive high gain in silence at my house?

That plug-in sounds great, check this out!

What do you guys think of these tones?

Not quite sure I understand your question.

I was going guitar > audio interface > DAW (FL Studio 20) Used a number of Neural ones.
(funny, I didn't dig the Nolly)

Not sure how it'd work with the UA interface/DAW software.

I mean

Guitar into interface, into DAW to use neural Nolly and record

Which neural did you like?

Also, how does it feel playing compared to amp?

I guess my fave is the Omega Granophyre followed by the Fortin NTS suite.
Never played either of the real amps, just liked the sound/feel of these the best.

Haven't tried the SLO, Gojira, or the new Henson suite.

What kind of volumes are you planning on using it for and what's your monitor rig?

I'm playing the Quad or plugs thru a Duncan PS170 and then into a Marshall 1x12 half back cab
with a M75 Scumback that's nicely broken in. Works perfect for my small 120 sqft. room.

This way I don't worry about having to use any IRs or the stock Neural cabs.

I'm really familiar with that cab from using a variety of tubes amps with it so it helps with dialing
in digital amps.

I have all of the Neural plugins other than Abasi and also use a UA Apollo. The setup is great for recording but for an amp in the room sound, I run one of the Apollo outputs into my Synergy 5050 poweramp and out into my cabs. This is where these plugins shine and where you’ll see just how well they stack up against real amps. I highly recommend using the plugins this way. I never had a full appreciation of the plugins while using just studio monitors.

Guitar straight into input of interface.
My favorite is the Neural SLO followed by Nolly :)
