Very cool, I hadn't heard of this model yet, try to post a clip when you can!

Not hijacking the thread, but....
I notice a lot of iffiness about the Afwayu. I have a number of Wade's pickups, all of which he personally consulted me on based on what I was after. He had suggested an Afwayu for me when I told him I wanted something to take the place of EMG 81's but I didn't want to worry about batteries in my touring guitars. It did take me a little while to get used to; hot output with lots of everything. I definitely had to be patient with finding the right height and also dialing in the screws for each string, but the payoff was there. The reward is that it has a very unique sound from any pickup I've tried before. It "feels" like playing through a compressor, but is very rich and beefy. I reserve it for really high gain sounds which is where it seems to shine, palm muted chugs are very thick and tight, moreso than anything else I've tried. It's also my favorite clean bridge humbucker, because of it's beefy sound it doesn't become too thin on clean, which in my experience is always an issue with bridge humbuckers, if you're like me and you automatically flip up to your neck pickup for cleans, then you know what I mean. It's great to have a full clean bridge sound, which is more present and woody than the chime-y neck cleans.

Wade is a magician and the most knowledgeable man on the planet when it comes to humbuckers!

ive had about eight of wades models over the years, all were cool, some amazing, the Afwayu i HATED in every guitar i tried it in. bottom was too big.

Out of curiosity, which ones did you think were amazing? I just got the Twrecks installed in my Les Paul. They're a bit tighter and clearer than the Detroiters in my SG and have a more neutral eq curve, but the Detroiters have an upper mid grind which is nice and the highs in the neck pickup of the Detroiter are a bit sweeter than that of the Twrecks. Overall though I'm so far preferring the Wolfetone Marshallheads in my Framus Panthera over any Motor City's I've tried so far. So far they're they're my favorite pickups I've tried
