I am digging these quite a bit. I was never really a fan of V30s, but they always seem to make certain things easier. I actually only recently started using them regularly...maybe 3-4 years ago.

I think I will put the quad in this OS cab and bring my traditional cab home with 2003 V30s to compare against. But tentatively, I am digging these a lot more than V30s...which, like I said, I never really liked anyway haha.

If you don't like the Mesa 8 ohm V30's, it may simply be the sound of the momentary contact jack and parallel-series wiring of your Mesa cab.

Rewire it series-parallel with one jack and profit.

I got 4 and put them in a Mesa OS cab, straight out of the box with no break in they sound really close to my VERY broken in Mesa OS from early 2002.

Did eminence just create a speaker to topple the V30 at its own game?

Anyone plan on using one in a live setting to see how they cut in a mix?

We'll see how they compare after some hours and volume, like I said the old Mesa cab I compared them to has 20+ years of stage volume use on it.

Played it at practice today and it sounded amazing. Not super different from my other guitar players stock Mesa OS cab, but different enough.
