Needed a 16 ohm high power speaker to replace a Mesa MC90 in an open back 1x12 extension cab.

Yes. An EVM is what I wanted…..but 16 ohm is impossible to find.

EV's seem pretty neutral so you hear a mostly uncolored amp. The Force 12's seem to follow that pattern. So does the Weber Michigan 15".

Yup. This may be the speaker I'd most like to try right now, especially in a Thiele. Kinda interested in it in a Mark combo too.

The only thing I'm a bit worried about is that I notice a lot of high wattage speakers, unless they are pushed with a higher wattage amp, sound kinda bassy and muffled in certain areas.

For the cats here with 100w heads, they will not have this issue but I feel some 50w would struggle to sound open or be cranked loud enough if that makes sense, especially of a 4x12 is being loaded up with em.

Every speaker is different, just noting some of my previous experiences.

I bought an ET65 a few yrs back.
