Anyone heard of this one yet? It's a new pedal by Taylor Danley (GuitarTuber). Sounds like a good one to me, but everything sounds good to me on YouTube.

He also has a few videos on the Obsidian Audio YT page boosting a 5150, Dual Rec, and JCM800.

Thoughts?

Noisegate seems cool. But I only thought about it for a quick minute.

Decided against it. This may very well do things better. But I have 3 pedals that besides being true to ts. They all add gain. Have different flavors. Can fatten or tighten. 2 have eq, 1 has tone and presence knob. The amps that don't take pedals still don't take them.

Their all similar enough that. I don't think i want or need another. It's been like a year since I got my last and haven't had gas.

Ill also say. I like taylors videos.i can hear more often than not what I think I'd like and dislike. I play all sorts of metal genres. The extremes of his pedals don't check my boxes, doesn't have flavor I particularly like.

But take my input with a grain of salt. I'm a guy who occasionally eats corned beef with mayo. And there are people who consider that a capital offense. So if you like it go for it.

I like seeing more modern metal overdrive pedals with gates built in. I met him last NAMM and he was a really nice guy. Hope it takes off for him. Although, as he said in the beginning a lot of overdrives have "too many unnecessary controls and features". Hope he comes out with a more streamlined version in the future.

Same, I like seeing more of them with gates.

That being said, none of the tones appeal to me whatsoever.

I'd have to hear someone use it as a boost with half as much gain, like you would actually use on a recording, before I could decide an opinion on it
