Scott: still love that ibby and the S copy is amazing
thanks man!

and that maple-board Anderson is :inlove: :inlove:

I'm currently setting up an Ibanez 7 string for a customer. That's about all I have to contribute. I used to have a Schecter, but it didn't stick around too long. You guitar players have too many strings to fuck with.

On the other hand, I do have a Spector 5 string fretless bass. Same deal, right?

Well, you guys all know me, but I'll throw in anyway:

Both in Bb. My original metal band, Division, uses 7s exclusively, and I've been playing them for around 10 years.

Edit: The green one doesn't have EMGs anymore...

Old pic. I no longer have the one on the left because I'm currently putting together another similar one.

Nice axes guys!

As a 7-string virgin, I've been eye-balling them for many years. Never could bring myself to pull the trigger because I like small necks. But I'm playing with a band that does more modern stuff, so I'm really close to finally picking-up a 7. Those Agile 7-strings look like great first 7-strings. I've seen many of the lower-end Ibanez 7s at the local pawn shops for cheap. But I think it's gonna have a be an Agile or an Ltd for my first one.

I've been playing 7s part time since the late 90s. I've owned a bunch of different ones but the Ibanez RG7620s stick around more than all the others. That said, I did get a Petrucci 7 a while back and its unbelievably awesome. The Ibanez K7 I had a couple years back was sick too. Most shows I play nowadays are on my 7620 with a Crunch Lab/Liquifire combo and split middle position switching. basically wired just like the petrucci. My 7 string band tunes up so I play in DADGBEG for that stuff. Its a mix of noisy technical grind and soft folky ambient stuff. Other times I play in Drop A.

That is one badass guitar. What's the scale length? Looks absolutely fantastic.

I've only got two 7s here at the moment

KxK Sii-7 blue marbalize, currently tuned to drop A (AEADGBE)... maple neck through, mahogany wings, birdseye maple board, sperzel tuners, piezo, BKP Cold Sweat neck / Nailbomb bridge [/img]
Hey technomancer, those KsKs are schweet! I'm a total "unfinished neck" whore. I like a good unfinished neck well oiled and smooth. However I'm not much of a fan of glue-on necks, I much prefer bolt-in to body deep to under the neck pup.

Nice axes...

Awesome, man. That looks like a killer guitar. I have almost pulled the trigger on he 725 version of that as well. If I didn't have another BRJ coming I probably would have already done it.

Thanks man! Those two are neck-through, not set neck so the neck runs all the way through the body.

This is the bolt on I have in progress :D These pics are before clear coat... it's also a shame the back of the horn carve doesn't really show up in the pics well as the fret access on it is going to be awesome.

Love 7s. Was lucky enough to snag two from Tom Andersons limited run.

Damn those are both gorgeous

I thought I was one of the only primarily 7-string guitarists on here, but this year out of curiosity I grabbed an 8-string and have barely touched the 7s unless I want to play in another tuning (I normally stay in Bb standard). I prefer the longer scale length and shorter string spacing. I'm still debating whether to sell the 7s though, because they're still my darlins, haha. Ibanez RG7420 with EMG 81-7 and 707, and Ibanez Apex with BKP Warpigs.

I had 4 Brian Moore USA's, 2 Ibanez, a Tom Anderson, and a Wayne

Wow, an Anderson 7 string. Don't see many like that.

I wanted one of these FOREVER and ended up buying 2 last year, but kept the one that was in better condition.

I only have a lowly Ibanez RG 7421, but it has Blackouts now. Its actually pretty cool for a cheapie. Used to have a 7620 that was really cool.

I toy with the idea of selling all my sixs and just going 7....can't quite pull the trigger though.

I didn't know you were into 7's bro. That's cool.

Since this is a SEVEN string thread and anything goes, I have a question. I have an EMG 81-7 and have yet to install it in anything. I have EMG 707's in my two guitars now. What can I expect with this pickup when compared to the 707?
