one and only high gain amp- what should it be?

I currently use a Rocktron Vendetta amp head (Ch.4 modded by Bruce Egnater) for my all tube, 100 watt, high gain, channel switching type of amp. If I didn’t own that amp, I would go for either the Friedman SS-100 or the Suhr PT-100 amp heads. Great cleans and a modded Marshall channel with boost on either amp.

You mentioned the EVH sound in your first post. Get yourself a 5150III and be done with it.
