One of the best guitarists from one of the best bands

Ian and Big Wreck are absolutely amazing. I drove 4 1/2 hours to an Italian Restaurant /Bar to see them last winter in Watertown, NY and I was like a friggin girl at a Beatles concert. SO GREAT. I had watched the Suhr/Namm videos over and over and said I'm not going to miss this for the world. Keep checking their tour schedule this year, as I hope to see him/them many more times! He's an absolute tone-master and great player, writer, and vocalist! Eric

Seeing them this Saturday in Houston. So excited. He is by far my favorite guitarist and songwriter.

They're actually doing US dates? That's awesome :D

Not many! Houston is the ONLY one listed on this tour.. I keep checking each week to see if they'll come back to NY. . I live in VT but they definitely won't play here! Eric

Us Canucks have been listening to them since the 90s. "That Song" was a pretty big hit up here. Wonder what else you 'Murcans are missing.

Been listening to Ghosts (oft and on) this morning/afternoon.

Such a good album. Dudes vocals are powerful.

Thanks for sharing! Great player and killer tones!!

You would think a Suhr endorser would know how to pronounce Suhr "sir", one syllable, and not "SEWER", two syllables. :D
German name, German pronounciation (closer to Sewer than Sir).
PWNED. ;)

"PWED".... Haha. Spoken like a true Apprentice Noob. It is pronounced "Sir".
Apprentice noob my behind, I'm from Europe and speak near-fluent German (not natively though).

But here's one for ya:

(Apparently it's a Swedish name too).

So you can stay stubborn about it, or at least admit that it sounds quite between Sewer and Sir.
Just because you 'Muricans 'Muricanise everything, doesn't mean it's correct.
I mean, take the last name of 'The Dude', Lebowski, which is a Polish name.
Americans pronounce it "Luh-bow-skee", yet the proper Polish pronounciation is "Lèh-bohv-skee" ("boh" as in "boring").

But whatevs, you're cool and I know jack shit, because of my join date here.

That awesome, except John Suhr has said it's pronounced "sir".

That awesome, except John Suhr has said it's pronounced "sir".

I'm sure it works best to not pronounce the name correctly, as the phonetics are not in Americans daily use... So it makes sense to change it, but I can tell you that Suhr is definitely not pronounced 'sir'.

Like most names and brands though, it is moulded to what makes most sense to a given language. My last name for example... I have gotten so used to people saying "Jensen" with a hard J (as in Joke), but it's actually pronounced "Yensen". So is the brand of speakers  Spanish people pronounce it as "Yensen" too, because that hard J is not in their phonetics.

Worcestershire sauce, anyone?
