I'm really impressed by some of these Dio Disciples live performances. It's tough to top a sober Oni Logan...

That was fuckin' awesome! Mark Boals too, dude is incredible! Awesome performance by all! Love Egypt(The Chains are On), one of my fav. Dio songs! Very cool. RIP RJD!

and you can say what you want about Goldy but he is solid as fuck. I never liked him when I was younger...but listening to him now it shows he never stopped and actually improved since 20 years ago.

Goldie has a stoic stage persona, which might make it difficult for people to appreciate his performance. But his playing is great, and he really nailed these songs.

Yeah he's a damn statue but his playing never suffers so sometimes you have to take your pick. Oni sounds great... I had thought he was done but he was clearly drunk in the vids I had seen and these days he seems to be able to really get it done. Boals is one of my faves. Malmsteen knew how to pick vocalists in the early days. He had some of the best.

Love to hear these songs again and see Goldie playing.....like everyone, much love for Oni. I've seen Lynch Mob twice...one he was so on it hurt, the other...well..drunk :-)

I don't post much, as you can see, but I felt compelled to mention that, in addition to being a stellar guitarist (check out some of the YT clips from the '86 Dio "Live at the Spectrum" show), Craig Goldy is one of the nicest, most gracious musicians I've ever met, famous or otherwise. He spent around 20 minutes speaking with my wife and me after the Dean Owners' Association concert in Tampa last year (Black Knights Rising was the headliner), and even exchanged a couple of e-mails with me afterwards. I'd been a fan since the Rough Cutt/Giuffria days (dating myself, I know), and I'm an even bigger one now.

That's very cool. Really dig his playing and tone on Resurrection Kings. Very tasteful player, but shreds at the right times.

My Ozzy tribute got to open for them 2 years ago in Houston. Really nice guys and actually checked out some of our set. Oni and Craig were awesome that night.

This makes me almost cry. Some of the best musicians doing a great live performance. And actually it is amazing but still only a pale copy of what Ronnie delivered. Oh man I miss him so much. Still I hope they carry on and keep his music alive. I wished they would come to Germany some day, but probably that wouldn't be commercially reasonable.
