He said he is most likely going to have to move forward with the build on his end and will just retail the guitar. He is going to request additional top options. If one of those happens to interest me, I can always pay the deposit back and move forward with the build again. Seems like a reasonable plan.

Congrats on that at least. Good on the dealer, most probably would not do that. It’s probably tough for him to swallow and hopefully it works out for him too.

I priced out a pretty basic Jackson Soloist and I'm around $6500. $4k barely gets you basic run of the mill production models from most of these brands anymore.
