**PAGING JUGGERNAUT** L-500XL Pickups. Tell me about them

well after getting a chance to play around on this guitar and i think the pickups sound pretty good...they are BLUSAs and so far my only complaint is that they seem a tad weak. but i think i'm still adjusting to going passive after playing emgs for so many years. oh yeah and they came wired up with a push/pull switch that switches over to single coils. very nice.

I have a shielded B&B L500XL. It's ok. I put a Duncan back in that guitar.

I've got the "bill and Becky" version, and it's awesome for what it is. More of an "old school" metal tone and feel IMO, if that's what you're after. It's more in the EMG 81 Duncan JB category. It's got that cutting upper mid with slightly scooped mids. Very cutting and present in the mix. It's definitely one of my all time favorites!
