IhateRap, what amplifiers were you using on that track above with your Palmer PDI-03?

I'm also in the market for a PDI-03 or PGA-04 and looking for examples. Thanks.

I think what they should do is put cab IR technology in a rack unit that you can load up. Does something like that exist?

great idea, you could do that with a computer, load up altiverb or something, and run your rig through that, though a bit of a pain.

I would looooove a 1U rack amp load where you can load in custom Ir''s, and keep udating it.

Exactly, I think IR technology is more advanced then the speaker sim on units like the Palmer? A rack unit without need for a computer would be pretty handy for a lot of people I think...somebody should make that one.

You still need the load though, that said you can load IRs into the Axe...I loaded this one in it...

the palmer is a really good unit, but it depends on your amp and what style you play. its a bit on the compressed side compared to micing, but thats only when you turn the head up. if you keep it at a band practice/gigging volume you should be fine. the palmer rules live too..itd be better than most micing scenarios. overall i think its awesome bang per buck. its not perfect but its really really good.

Hey Zorran,

I really enjoyed the Down Again clip that you did with the Palmer. The guitars really had an awesome chug to it. I'm trying to replicate that with the Mark IV and the Palmer but find that it does have a certain 'distance' to it and can't really bring it upfront. Did you feed the Palmer into a preamp like the RNP before it hits the DAW in order to get the chug or was it already present without the aid of the pre?

Cheers!

Justin
