Got the G10 Vintage delivered today. This is as close to a legit 'night and day' difference as any single change in gear can provide. The G10-D has got to be the stiffest, thinnest, crappiest sounding speaker I have ever heard. Period. The G10 Vintage is so much smoother, warmer, and BIGGER sounding. Nope - not gonna top a well broken in 12" speaker. But its honestly really damn close. With the G10D, I could barely nudge the treble and presence controls on the Bogner XTC Mini above noon without wincing. Now, I can run treble and presence past the 3:00 position with no harshness or shrillness at all. And the louder you run the amp, the better the G10 Vintage sounds. Smooth top end. Full mids. Surprisingly Big low end. If anyone out there has a stock Marshall Micro Stack with the factory G10D speakers in the cabs, I highly recommend the G10 Vintage.
