This still F'ing rocks. Pre "Go For What You Know" w Mars Cowling on bass and Nico McBrain before he joined Iron Maiden
"Go For What You Know" is hands down one of the best 'live' published recordings of any band, ever. I've worn out multiple copies starting with vinyl, 8-track and now CD's hahahah. Still very much in regular rotation, like at least once a week if not more for certain cuts. The interplay between Pat Travers and Pat Thrall is just nuts....add some Tommy Aldridge double kick in there and shazam hahahah. One of my fave songs/videos ever
Pure fucking rock
Killer! This always struck me as maybe one of the original 'Rock Rap' songs given Travers vocal delivery... the bass playing is next level on this tune tooUse to play 'Life in London' and 'Gettin Betta' in a band back in the late 70s.
Mars Cowling is a total badassBTW- bass player ain't no slouch either. The bass players in the 70's brought all sorts of heat!
Pat Travers rhythm chops are just incredible, smoking player, more than capable of holding a three piece down.I often watch this show on youtube. Smokin'. Awesome tone, playing, performance, everything.
Totally , listen to him and Tommy groove here during the solo here , Great tuneMars Cowling is a total badass
