How can the 6505 mini be based off of the original circuit when the specs says it only has three preamp tubes

Could less tube stages mean diodes or opamps to get the same gain levels ?

Effects loop not tube buffered ?

In the PG video the Classic sounds fine while the 6505 is low-endy fuzzy. This may be due to the Resonance way up, along with the Pre Gain & Post Gain pretty low. Ran the 112 pretty much the opposite, for my likin'.

Agree, I'd rather get the CL20! Sounded nice, and with my maxon in front... Wow!

I also think that the 6505 sounded fuzzy and muddy

I think I really need to play it myself to see if it works for me, the 6505 that is. but the second demo showed promise..

Don't know why they have to dime the bass and the resonance. Dumb.

I think I'd rather have a 5150-III 50 watter....
So i did make the right choice? :D
I just bought a 50 watter used today and then saw these 6505 mini 20 watters and for a moment got a little upset because they are only $500 new.
the 6505 has the switchable power levels and is only 20 watts max.
I bought the EVH for a practice amp and it may be too much or i have one of the best practice amps ever?

this ... they sound fantastic at super low levels

I was tempted by the peavey mini (I think they come out mid may)...still might get one even if only for the silent recording option

Man i am so glad to see other owners say this about the 50 watter because i did not receive the amp yet
and had second thoughts i may have made a mistake getting it for low levels, but if it sounds "fantastic" at low levels then i
know i made the right choice by getting it over a 6505 mini.

Listen, I have a 50 watt. Amazing amp period !!! Unbelievable. You made the correct choice. Its simply the best amp for the $, and that aside, even if it were a bit more, it would still imo be the better deal. Has better tone that amps double its price that I have owned and I have owned a nice amount of them.

Low volumes, jamming volumes, you name it. Congrats !

Really good to hear and this is pretty much the general census on this amp
All owners are very happy with it and say it is still awesome sounding at low volumes were most amps will sound like shit.
I will have mine by tues or weds this week from fed ex.
really looking forward to firing it up after reading about it and hearing several stellar clips
