Nah, you're just not careful and you're willing to believe whatever fits your pre-conceived narrative. Don't sweat it, you have a lot of company - ON BOTH SIDES - left and right.
You can't just listen to the news (or read it) anymore. You have to fact check your ass off. It sucks but that's the price we pay for having a phone that can access almost all of the totality of human knowledge. It accesses the totality of human bullshit too. And that's easier to find because they target you (the universal 'you', not you specifically).

Disagree… I have some great gear. I have the means to record (even if I lack the technical ability to make it “production” worthy) but I’m a “former half-ass rhythm guitar player in a generic cover band in the middle of a corn field”. Why would I post a clip that, even if 80% of it is “good”, just to hear the haters dis on the 20%? I don’t need anyone to validate what I do. And I damn sure don’t have the bandwidth to shoot down those that want to criticize. . I’m too F’n lazy to pull everything out of the closet for a “family picture”. I have a Setzer Gretsch, a Taylor 456CE and a Gibson Custom J200 (among others) that haven’t seen the light of day in at least 8 years. Some of those, even longer. I do have a some killer amps/cabs and digital rigs out that I can reach out and touch. I can post pics if you want to mock me
