I have a Setzer Gretsch, a Taylor 456CE and a Gibson Custom J200 (among others) that haven’t seen the light of day in at least 8 years. Some of those, even longer. I do have a some killer amps/cabs and digital rigs out that I can reach out and touch. I can post pics if you want to mock me .

I had to convert my “recording desk” to a WFH desk when COVID hit. Since then, the office I was associated to closed, so I am considered “permanently remote”. This is what I have out and available. I turn around and strum something several times a day as a palate cleanser between stupid F’n MS Teams meetings

No, it’s not. I don’t have an ego and I don’t need validation. I derive pleasure from what I do. And I know and appreciate when I make progress. I don’t need others to weigh in.

Absolutely 100% where I stand too brother.

Even when I (finally) have the gear to make things happen (hopefully this year), I doubt I'll be itching to "brag" publicly about anything I've produced.

If or when it becomes necessary to promote myself, I'll obviously put shit up for so-called "scrutiny", but of course, like you, I couldn't give two hoots what people think. I'll make music 'cause it's part of my DNA and the reward for having endured 30+ years in the wilderness since my last productions.

At this point my only fear is that I'll be so-happy that I'll be an easy room for myself and I certainly don't want that. Be your own harshest critic, I've always believed.

I didn’t contract them for the trim - I trimmed everything else in the house, so… They still aren’t trimmed . Turns out the high quality Pella windows I bought, aren’t. They’re shit (seals between panes blown on most in less than 2 years, “sweating” on the inside pane, etc.). Trying to to determine options. I’m not going to trim until I’m sure I won’t need to rip them out.

Too bad you didn’t ask here first. I was a remodeling contractor for 22 years and have literally installed thousands of windows and doors. I could have told you Pella ( and Anderson by the way) are fucking junk.
