Guys, here's a great trick if you need feedback and your cab is isolated-

just split your signal out of your guitar with and a/b/both box, or a pedal with 2 outs. Run one cable to your main rig/iso cab. Run the other to a small practice amp, set up beside you in your "control room". Set the practice amp at low volume but real gainy. Voilà, instant feedback generator. Even if the sound is clean coming out of your main rig, you'll still get feedback.

I'm just full of wacky tricks

Nice trick. I'd probably even try and run a mic on the practice amp just in case it sounded kinda neat.

cool
I'll try that
does it work the same as cranking the monitors?
does the practice amp need to be loud or just super distorted?

oh and micing the practice amp while going direct or micing a bigger amp is something I've been planning

that's how they did carcass heartworks
5150
and the marshall 10 watt practice amp mixed together
!
