Fantastic tones, and what I find even more impressive is the fact that you only used impulses! These sound more transparent and natural then ay other I tried before.
Can you tell us where are these from?
Cheers Dass. :)
It's a Vintage 30 impulse designed by James Peters.
I'll PM you tomorrow.

So, as stated before I am gasin for a Peters. Are any pics of internals guts available anywhere? I want to look at the build quality of these bad boys. Any help would be great. Now, off to sell the Cobra and save up for one.

Which overdrive channel you leaning towards?

I have a severe case of GAS for one of these. :aww:
I'm GASSing hard for another Peters amp in the new 100W with separate EQs format. :)
I think I'd really dig a Chimera to go hand-in-hand with my Gryphon.

Thanks for the extra gas!

I wish I would of bought the one that was used on here....nice review and I listened to all your clips. I especially enjoyed the first clean clip you posted. The amp sounded killer as was the playing.

Was it a Gryphon?
And was it a 50W or 100W?
Also, how much was it going for?

That was an epic review FJ - very well done!!

I love that amp; I'd really like to try one someday.

It was a Dual Channel Hydra or Chimera for $1550.

Oh no!!! That's a bargain.
I'd have been all over it if I lived over there.

I got called into work last night/now, so I didn't get any recording done. I am really n00bish, so it's difficult for me. It's very time consuming and if I don't get good results after a short while, I just start noodling off and writing shit instead of doing take after boring take.

I have a Shure sm57, M-Audio Firewire 410 into my laptop with Reaper. I recorded some great ones last week, but then realized that I recorded in .wav and couldn't find a decent converter to save my life.

I haven't moved the mic and I think it's good placement. I plan on doing up the Hydra and Chimera through the same cab for comparison purposes. I have been dying to get a Hydra clip up so I can switch out the EL34s for KT-88s and compare those too. So much to do...

I should have plenty of time this weekend.

Hehe yeah I'm the same way man.
If it ain't happening after a few tries, I go off into noodle land and spend a few hours there. :)

Sounds like a solid setup.
Lookin forward to your clips mate.
And be sure to post your thoughts on the KT88's in your Hydra.
Cheers.

Hey guys, I had a fantastic conversation last night with James Peters. He really understands where I am coming from. So, I feel we are on the same page. We just need to work out the details on an amp. I am excited about this. Just wanted to say thanks to Superflyinmonke and Firejack for hookin me up. I would have never known Peters existed without you guys.

That's great mate.
James is just awesome to deal with.
Look forward to your Peters NAD.

Which way you leaning with the amp choice?
I'd expect a Chimera if you are looking to mainly play thrash.
C'mon man give us the guts.
