That looks like an amazing place to hang out. Do you drum too or is that practice space for band or what?

How would you compare the Quick Rod to the Wizard?
I dabble but it mostly gets used by my longtime friend and old band mate who I'm still close with. I have a neighbor who is also a drummer and comes over from time to time.

As far as Quick Rod vs the Wizard, they're both rather tight and dry amps. The Quick Rod has a more 80's vibe to it? I have the fully loaded version. With all the extras turned off, it has a hint of a cocked wah tone. I usually run the "Old" mode and use the mid shift switch depending on what cab I'm using. The Splawn is more mid focused than the Wizard while the Wizard is more scooped. The Wizard is also a bit more articulate and thumps harder. My Wizard has more horse power behind it with KT88's, so it also gets a little more low end from that. Both amps are also very loud. Definitely not apartment amps. My Diezels and Oranges are much better for late night playing.

Thanks. Have considered offing the QR for a Wizard. MORE thump and articulation scares me

Lol yeah it's a beast. I love it but there are times where I just want something toned down a bit 😂 It can get tiresome blasting that amp for extended periods of time. I've considered moving my QR on. The MGL covers the classic Marshall 800 tones pretty well for me.
