Thanks dude. Both of those are semi parts guitars. I had the necks on hand and refurbished them. The bodies were made of home depot poplar.

holy shit thats the craziest 12 string ... whatre all them toggles & knobs for ??

10-string, technically. The controls aren't as bad as they look. Master volume, neck volume, master tone, boost 1, and boost 2. Then the switches are for the two boosts, two parallel/series, and a phase reverse.

A lot of people leave the 4 extra strings off and use it like a 6-string. I left them on, though. I've always liked 12-strings and this one plays so well that it doesn't feel like they're there at all. I've wanted one since seeing Joe Perry with one on the inside cover of Live Bootleg. Dave Mustaine didn't help much, either. Finally got this one last year.

My twins. These are Hapas Vyrns from a run that Northerner Guitars did a couple of years ago. I sold 2 ESPs and a Gutierrez Juggernaut to buy these, and I do not regret it at all!

I have a couple of classic shaped Vs, too, but I don't really consider them pointy compared to these.

As far as guitars I've liked...the Jackson pro series black King V is an amazing guitar. I owned 2 of them, and should've kept them. I've had some Rhoads models, an ESP SV-II, and a few ESP and LTD Ninjas over the years. To me, the ESPs were always the most expensive and worst sounding guitars I had. They use such a thick finish that the guitars don't resonate. I've a couple of exceptions, but I generally don't like ESPs anymore. I prefer the King Vs I had to all but maybe 1 of the LTDs I had, and over all of the ESPs I had.

Solar makes some decent pointy guitars that don't cost a fortune. Cracking fretboards aside (I never experienced that myself).

The Guild was my first good guitar in high school. Sold it eons ago, recently bought it back.

BCRich 1988 USA Gunslinger bought it new.

I have one of the new NV-1000 LTD models and it's nice, I'm sure the SD-2 is nice as well.
